Complete Tournament Draws

ERIE, Pa. -- Nenad Terzic won a pair of matches in the singles championship draw and Arseniy Sklyarov reached the finals of the B-draw as the Mercyhurst men's tennis team competed at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Atlantic Regional over the weekend at Pennbriar Athletic Club. The event began on Friday, Sept. 23, before finishing up on Sunday.

Terzic advanced to the quarterfinals of the championship draw, claiming a win over Bryson Tye (Charleston) in the Round of 32, 6-1, 6-0, and then defeating Lucas von de Heyde (West Chester) in the Round of 16, 7-6 (1), 6-2. He was eliminated by Baptiste Perrin (West Liberty) in the quarterfinals, 6-4, 6-4.

Sklyarov won four consecutive matches in the B-draw en route to the finals. Wins of his came against Jason Prince (Charleston) in the Round of 32, 6-3, 6-2; Pedro Nassar (West Virginia Wesleyan) in the Round of 16, 6-4, 6-2; Alexander Anderson (Edinboro) in the quarterfinals, 6-0, 6-2; and Lorenzo Panaretti (Bluefield State) in the semifinals, 6-4, 6-4.

Sklyarov was eventually defeated by West Virginia Wesleyan's Alex Lyudinovsky, 5-7, 6-4, 10-4.

Terzic, along with Joaquin Aguilera, advanced to the semifinals of the doubles championship draw. The Laker duo won its Round of 16 match against Charleston's Jamie Gibson and Guilherme Albertinazzi, 8-3, and then its quarterfinal contest against WVW's Farren Berga and Nathan Sabate, 8-3.

Terzic and Aguilera lost to Bluefield's Ignacio Pulio and Platon Gud, 8-6.
