Box Score 2 ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst baseball team won a pair of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division games over Gannon, 9-4 and 10-3, at Mercyhurst Baseball Field on Sunday. The victories stretch the Lakers' winning streak to 12.

Game One: Mercyhurst 9, Gannon 4
Winning pitcher
Colin McKee went the distance, allowing only two hits in seven innings of work. Only two of Gannon's four runs against McKee were earned. He totaled 12 strikeouts and two walks.
Chris Gonzalez batted 2-for-3 with a double, three runs, two RBI and one stolen base.
Austin Alonge scored two runs,
Cameron Balego and
Daniel Elliott drove in two runs each, and
Sabatino DiNardo III contributed a double.
The Lakers fell behind 3-0 in the first inning, but quickly responded with a four-run first in the bottom half. Elliott smacked a two-run single, Balego had a sacrifice fly and DiNardo ripped an RBI single, givving Mercyhurst a 4-3 advantage.
Gannon pulled even at 4-all in the third inning, but a Balego RBI single in the bottom half of the frame put the Lakers ahead again at 5-4.
Mercyhurst tacked on four insurance runs in the sixth.
Austin Alonge had an RBI single and then Gonzalez smashed a two-run double before scoring on a wild pitch.
Charles Benack tripled and scored two runs for the Gannon attack.
Aaron Jackson was the losing pitcher for the Knights, giving up nine runs on eight hits while totaling five strikeouts, one walk and five hit batsmen.
Game Two: Mercyhurst 10, Gannon 3
The Lakers (23-8, 11-3) fell behind 3-0, but responded with 10 unanswered runs to take the nightcap.
Elliott (double) went 2-for-4 with four RBI while both Alonge and
Hank Morrison had 2-for-3 games. Alonge and Gonzalez had two RBI apiece.
Gonzalez,
Jimmy Latona and
Collin Fantaskey scored two runs each for the Laker offense.
The visiting Knights (21-10, 9-5) scored once in the second inning and twice in the third to build their advantage.
Gonzalez scored the first Mercyhurst run in the third, crossing the plate on a passed ball. The Lakers followed that with a five-run fourth and a four-run fifth.
In the fourth, Gonzalez ripped a game-tying, two-run single before Elliott hammered a three-run double to give Mercyhurst a 6-3 lead.
During the fifth, Alonge had a two-run single while Elliott and
Brendan Cox had one-run singles.
Cam Knott was the winning pitcher, giving up three runs on six hits in four innings of work. He had two strikeouts and four walks.
Relief pitcher
Matthew Jaskolka threw three shutout innings to earn a save. He recorded four strikeouts, one walk and one hit batsman while allowing two hits.
Benack went 2-for-2 for Gannon, John Davis doubled, and David Cricks was the losing pitcher.
Cricks gave up five runs (four earned) on five hits while registering one strikeout, three walks and two hit batsmen. Reliever Nick Fuchs worked two innings of scoreless relief.
The same two teams will meet again on Sunday -- this time at Gannon -- for an 11 a.m. PSAC West doubleheader.
