BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- Mercyhurst men's tennis player Joaquin Aguilera won his quarterfinal matchup in singles competition on day two of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Singles/Doubles Championships, which continued on Saturday at Bloomsburg.

Aguilera defeated Bloomsburg's Pablo Herrero, 4-6, 6-2, 10-6, to advance into a semifinal matchup with Norman Patten of West Chester. The tournament's semifinals and finals will take place on Sunday.

Aguilera will also compete in the doubles finals alongside teammate Nenad Terzic. The Laker duo is set to take on Edinboro's Vitor Albanese and Daniel Fernandez.
