MILLERSVILLE/SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The seventh-ranked Mercyhurst University wrestling team will look to extend its eight match winning streak this weekend when it travels to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rivals, Millersville and Shippensburg, on Friday and Saturday respectively. The Lakers will also compete against regional-foe American International College on Saturday afternoon at Shippensburg.
The Lakers and Marauders are slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night while Mercyhurst and Shippensburg will meet on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. The Lakers will then tangle with the Yellow Jackets at 4:00 p.m.
Mercyhurst enters the weekend with a 13-1 overall record and a perfect 3-0 mark against PSAC opponents as it attempts to win its third consecutive PSAC Division II Regular Season Dual Championship.
