"Scotland was an amazing experience; from traveling, to eating, from the culture, to playing-I was very fortunate to get this opportunity to play with 14 wonderful girls. From the moment we departed JFK until we came back 10 days later we were busy busy busy! Our days would consist of us waking up to go to the tour of the day-some of these tours consisted of Edinburgh Castle, a double decker bus tour of the city of Edinburgh, the St. Andrew's golf course, and many more. At these tours we would learn about the history of the locations and why they are so important. Right after the tour we would hurry back to the hotel and grab our stuff to suit up in the locker rooms for our games. The facilities we played at were amazing and top of the line. We played 6 matches, finishing with 2 wins and 4 losses. I had 10 goals and 4 assists in the tournament. After these games, we would have dinner or go out with the opposing team. This was my favorite part other than playing. Getting to meet these other girls and seeing what their culture was like was an awesome experience that I will never forget. After we split from the other team we would go back to the hotel and crash just to get up and do it all over again! Overall I had an amazing time and I'm glad I've gotten the international experience. Next year the team is taking a trip to play in Australia under the coaching of alum Lindsey Jackson that I'm also very excited for! The more experience the better and I'm hoping to carry the same intensity and hard work into the upcoming 2013 season!"
