ERIE, Pa.- The #1 Mercyhurst men's lacrosse team travels to Dominican College (NY) Saturday, April 28. The East Coast Conference (ECC) match is set for a 1 p.m. face-off at the DC Lacrosse Field.

The Lakers are 11-0 after a dramatic 7-6 win at #7 NYIT on April 21.
James Chayka scored his fourth goal with two seconds to play in the fourth quarter, lifting Mercyhurst past the Bears.
Dominican has a 1-9 mark this season. It lost, 15-1, at C.W. Post on April 21. The Chargers beat Roberts Wesleyan, 11-9, on April 10. Korin Pierce and Thomas Dertinger each had three goals and three assists in the victory.
Coach
Chris Ryan's squad sports an 18-match winning streak dating back to 2011. They have been ranked #1 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) poll since the preseason. As a team, the Lakers are second in scoring defense (5.36), man-up offense (45.2 percent), and assists per game (8.27).
Brian Scheetz leads the team with 27 assists and 37 points.
Kyle Kallay has scored a team-high 22 goals, while
Zac Reid has 12 goals and 13 assists. Goalie
Michael Grace has started every match in 2012, saving 60.2 percent of the shots he faces. His 5.03 goals against average is second-best in Division II.
Dominican is led by Dertinger, who has 19 goals this year. Pierce has a team-high 12 assists to go with 11 goals. Andrew Slater has made all 10 starts in net, allowing 14.33 goals per game.
The teams have met in each of the last five seasons, with Mercyhurst winning all five matchups. Kallay led with three goals in a 13-5 home win last season.
