PSAC Baseball Championship:
No. 28 Mercyhurst 9, Kutztown 2

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The No. 28 Mercyhurst College Lakers defeated Kutztown University, 9-2, in the PSAC Baseball Championship semifinals and advance to play No. 8 West Chester for the crown.

The game is scheduled to begin at approximately 5:05 p.m. at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, Pa.  Follow the game via Live Stats on the PSAC website at www.psacsports.org.

The Lakers are looking for their second title in their inaugural season with the conference after winning the women's soccer championship.  

Jeff Stoll led the Lakers at the plate with a 2-for-4 effort with four RBI while designated hitter John Blike pushed acrossed two more runs with a 1-for-4 effort.  Shortstop Jonathan Keppler had five hits in three trips to the plate and scored three runs while adding an RBI.

John Mang improved to 9-1 on the season, winning his ninth consecutive and moving into a tie for first-place on the single-season wins list.
