FINDLEY, N.Y. -- The Mercyhurst College men's golf team captured third-place at the one-day Behrend Invitational held at the Peek-N-Peak Golf Course.  The Lakers scored a 312 on the par-72 course behind crosstown rival and first-place finisher Gannon while Lake Erie College took second place.

Derek Elliot paced the Lakers with a 72, followed by Patrick Jackson at 78 and Michael Sito with an 80.  Ben Deets and Mike Wayner rounded out the squad with 82 each.

For the women who also were in action, Alanna Kirwin paced the Lakers with an 85 while Arielle Chong scored an 88.
