LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Mercyhurst College men's water polo team snapped a four-game losing streak Sunday by defeating Washington & Jefferson, 10-5, in the seventh-place game at the 2009 CWPA Southern Championships in Lewisburg, Pa.
Overall, the Lakers finish the tournament with a 1-2 record after suffering a 16-8 setback to Gannon and an 11-6 defeat to No. 20 Bucknell on Saturday.

Mercyhurst never trailed in the game by building a 4-1 advantage in first and adding to it with two goals in each of the next three quarters.
With the win, the Lakers finish their season with a 13-6 record, marking the fourth-straight season with 12 or more wins.
