Moon Township, Pa. – The Mercyhurst men's tennis team lost their match 5-2 to Robert Morris, a Division I, school on Saturday afternoon.

Playing under Division I rules, where two doubles' wins earns one point and each singles' victory earns a point, the Lakers dropped the doubles' session 1-0, winning one match and losing two. The Lakers were victorious in two singles' matches, losing four.

Kyle King and Adam Marnik were the bright spots for Mercyhurst. King won his singles' match in three sets, with the final score reading 3-6, 6-2, 6-2. Marnik came out on top, 7-5, 6-3.

The two then teamed up for the team's only doubles' win. They took on Braun and Sovko in the No. 2 match with a final score of 8-6.

The Lakers return to action Sunday afternoon when they take on Ohio Dominican in a home match at 3:00 p.m.
