LAURINBURG, N.C. -- Three dual meets, three more victories for the No. 10 Mercyhurst wrestling squad as it swept the competition on the final day of the East Coast Duals, hosted by St. Andrews Presbyterian.

Mercyhurst opened the day with a 21-18 victory over Anderson, highlighted by falls from Michael Baxter, Josh Shields and Nathan Sharp at 133 lbs, 165 lbs and heavyweight, respectively.

Against PSAC foe Shippensburg, the Lakers downed the Red Raiders 21-14 behind major decisions at 125 lbs from Payne Lint, Baxter and Andy Lamancusa at 157 lbs.

In the final meet of the day, Mercyhurst took a 24-17 victory behind another fall by Shields.

The Lakers are now 11-5-1 overall heading into an away contest at Ashland on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
