The Lakers improve to 8-3-2 with the win, while the Oilers are now 6-8 on the season.

Mercyhurst and Findlay traded goals in the first half, producing a 2-2 halftime score. The Lakers went ahead for good in the 65th minute, as Arash Fahandezh sent a cross in to Colton, who headed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 3-2. The goal was Colton's 13th on the season.

Findlay answered in the 22nd minute, as Myles LeGros headed his own rebound past Danny Mudd to tie the match at one goal apiece.

Tyler Emerick put the Lakers in front 2-1 at 31:43, catching the Findlay defense off guard with a quick free kick that rolled into the net past a stunned keeper for his first goal of the campaign.

LeGros equalized the match in the 43rd minute, knocking in the rebound of a Nick Pahren shot, scoring his second goal of the game and fourth on the season.

Mudd made seven saves in the win, while Conrad Davenport, who filled in for an injured Daryl Lotz in the second half, stopped three shots in the loss.
