Mercyhurst University Athletics

2010-11:  Finished the season with a 12-9 overall record holding a 9-5 mark in dual meet matches… started the season placing second in the National Catholic Invitational… led the team in near fall two points (7)…earned himself six consecutive wins stretching from Feb.4 to Feb.12… ended the season winning seven of nine while going 1-2 during the Super Region I Championships… best showing came during the Lake Erie Quad meet where he went a perfect 3-0… was named PSAC wrestler of the week (Feb.14) after winning six bouts in a row including a 4-0 performance during the Mercyhurst Quad meet.

2009-10:  Red-shirt.

2008-09:  Finished rookie campaign tied for third in wins with a 29-14 overall mark, including a 14-17 record in dual meets and 12-9 in tournaments… led the team with 10 falls to tie the third-best single-season mark while moving him into 10th all-time in that category… missed out on qualifying for the national championship tournament by one place as he finished fifth at the NCAA II Super Region 1 Championship, hosted by the Lakers… ranked regionally for majority of the year and entered the national rankings in the Dec. 3 poll… remained ranked for three consecutive polls and peaked at No. 5… placed in all but one of five tournaments, capturing sixth at the Buffalo Open to begin his freshman year… added a first-place finish at the National Catholic Invitational before taking sixth at the PSAC Championships.

High School:  Placed third and seventh at the state championships...Team won a conference championship in 2006...Also competed in soccer and track and field at Perkins High School.

Personal:  Plans to study pre-physical therapy...Son of Brian and Mary Anne Baxter...One sister, Megan, and a brother, Chris.
