Biography

2011: Played and started in 6 games at quarterback … voted team captain by his teammates for the 2011 season… piled up 1363 passing yards in the first five games before suffering from an injury…  had a career high 424 yards and 4 touchdowns against Kutztown… averaged just over 240 yards per game of total offense and finished with a pass efficiency rating of 151.75… ended his career 5th in yards of total offense with 3784 yards, 4th in passing yardage in Laker football history with 3658 total yards and 3rd all-time in passing touchdowns with 37 touchdowns in just 13 starts as a Laker.

2010:  Earned the starting quarterback role against IUP where he engineered one of his career-best days to lead the Lakers to a 28-27 come-from-behind win…went on to finish the season with a 7-1 record as a starter and helped guide Mercyhurst to a seven-game winning streak, a PSAC Championship, the program’s first-ever berth in the NCAA playoffs, an NCAA playoff victory against Bloomsburg (28-14) and an appearance in the NCAA quarterfinals (L vs Shepherd, 49-14)…established personal-bests with 32 completions in 52 attempts at IUP while also registering bests in yards (345), touchdowns (4, three times – last vs Bloomsburg on November 13) and a long-pass (81 yards) in the Lakers 56-37 win over Bloomsburg in the PSAC title game…threw for two touchdowns in every game but one…also rushed for a touchdown against IUP and Bloomsburg (November 13)…threw for at least 140 yards in every game…named PSAC West Offensive Player of the Week on October 24 after leading the Lakers to an upset of then-ranked No. 3 California (Pa.) to mark the highest ranked opponent that Mercyhurst has defeated...owns touchdown passes of 81 and 80 yards to mark the fourth- and fifth-longest marks in program history...became eighth different quarterback in Laker history to throw for more than 300 yards in a game...had games of 345 yards (career-high) against Bloomsburg in PSAC Championship and 344 yards against IUP...just the fifth passer in school history to have more than one 300-yard passing game...was the fourth different quarterback in school history to throw for more than 2,000 yards in a season (2,063)...yardage total was the fifth highest in school history...total offense total (2,099) was the sixth highest in Mercyhurst history...enters his senior season seventh on the all-time passing list with 2,295 yards and 10th in total offense with 2,341.

2009:  Played in four games for the Lakers, seeing significant time in the last two contests against No. 20 California and West Chester…finished the season completing 16 of 26 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown…was a perfect 4-for-4 in first collegiate action against Cheyney on September 5…completed a season-high seven passes at California while posting a season-high 11 attempts at California and at West Chester…against the Golden Rams he added a career-high 63 yards and his first career touchdown strike.

2008: Saw playing time in five games against Wayne State, Cheyney, Clarion, Lock Haven, and Edinboro... completed 8-of-11 passes for 78 yards and an interception while also added one reception for five yards.

2007: Did not play.

High School: Tied the school record with 64 career touchdown passes...All-Conference as a senior and Third Team All-State as a junior as his team won districts...Threw for 5,428 career yards...Also played baseball, helping the team win districts in 2005, and basketball...Student Council, SADD, National Honor Society, REACH.

Personal: Born October 20, 1988...Majoring in sports medicine...Son of Randall and Jean...One brother, Josh...brother played baseball at Mansfield University.
