2012: Played in ten of the team's 11 games during the season, missing only the game at Indiana (Pa.) on October 20...was an integral part of the Lakers' offensive line and served as the snapper for punts and field goals...Mercyhurst had the third-best rushing attack in the PSAC, averaging 204.1 yards on the ground during the season...the Lakers also had the fourth-highest time of possession in the conference (31:01)...helped to pave the way for PSAC West Freshman of the Year, who set the school's rushing record for yards by a freshman with 1,295 yards - just 19 yards shy of the school's all-time record...the Lakers, as a team, rushed for 28 touchdowns in 2012, tied for third-most in the conference

2011: Appeared in five games for the Lakers as an important part of the special teams…handled the short snapping and long snapping for punts and field goals

2010:  Appeared in just one game for the Lakers, helping Mercyhurst to a 41-0 blanking of Lock Haven on Homecoming

2009:  Saw limited action for the Lakers, picking up valuable playing time on the road at Lock Haven and Slippery Rock

HIgh School: Competed in football at St. Francis High School...Team won two championships...Named JV MVP

Personal: Born July 4, 1991...majoring in communications...son of Karl and Denise Takacs...has two brothers, Andrew and Jake, and one sister, Amy.
