2023: Appeared in all 19 games on the season as the X for the Lakers. Finished the season with the team lead in ground balls with 187 while adding career-highs in goals (13), assists (9), and caused turnovers (6). Had the first double-digit goal game of his career against Lake Erie on 4/19/23 with two goals. Had double-digit ground balls in 10 games with a season-high of 20 on 4/7/23 against Davis & Elkins. Finished with 295 face-off wins for the second most in all of NCAA DII with his .721 winning percentage being the highest. Had three games in which he won 20 or more face-offs with back-to-back games against Walk on 4/4/23 and Davis & Elkins on 4/7/23 with his season-high of 22 against Davis & Elkins.
2022: Started all 16 games at the X for the Lakers. He finished the season with the third highest face off winning percentage (.699 / 237-339) in the country, while recording a team best 164 groundballs. He registered six points on the year by way of three goals and three assists. He put up 20+ wins from the X on three different occasions including a season-best 23 against Roberts Wesleyan and Walsh.
2021: Started all 14 games for the Lakers at the X. He posted a mark of 201-265 with his .758 winning percentage ranking him second in the nation, while scooping up a team-high 155 groundballs. Doran also did work at the offensive end of the field tallying 10 points through four goals and six assists. In the three playoff games he was a dominating force at the X allowing his team to stay in any game going 55-65 in the contests versus Lake Erie, Seton Hill and Le Moyne.
2020: Appeared in and started all five games as a freshman. Led the team in groundballs with 43, while going 71-103 at the faceoff X. He also added one goal at Molloy on March 7th.
Major: Physical Therapy
Prior to Mercyhurst: Played both lacrosse and football for Hilton High School. As a lacrosse player, he was tabbed as an US All-American. He also was selected to the First Team All-Greater Rochester and named Monroe County Division I Player of the Year.
Personal: Son of Pat and Kathy Doran ... Has three siblings Sarah, Jessie, and Rachel.
