Zachary Kourous in the ninth inning, but it was not enough to overcome Central Connecticut State's early lead.
Central Connecticut State took an early lead in the second inning when they scored off an RBI single. The Blue Devils also scored on a sacrifice fly, giving Central Connecticut State a 2–0 lead through two innings.
In the fourth inning, Central Connecticut State's lead was extended with a solo home run, making it 3–0 through four innings.
In the seventh, the Blue Devils scored an unearned run after reaching on a single and advancing on a balk and an error. Central Connecticut State led 4–0 after seven innings.
