The Lakers are set to host Central Connecticut State in a three-game series this weekend. The Lakers and Blue Devils meet on Friday at 3:00 p.m., Saturday at 1:00 p.m., and on senior day Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The senior day ceremony will start at 12:25 p.m. 

Previous Results
Mercyhurst is 13-27 on the year. Last week, they faced LIU at home in a three-game series. The Lakers lost 13-3 in game, lost 6-5 in game two, and 4-2 in game three. In game one, the Lakers had 11 hits, including a solo home run from freshman Dana Williams. His home run in game one was his sixth of the season, which is first on the Lakers. In games two and three, freshman Logan Koslin went on a tear, going 4-for-6, including a double, a stolen base, a hit by pitch and two walks. His 21 hit by pitches are third in the NEC.
 
Senior Sunday
The Lakers are set to honor their six graduating seniors prior to Sunday's game. Zachary Kourous, Jack Malec, Ranciel Ventura, Zac Evenson, Logan Cherepko and Santino Campoli will be honored for their contributions to the program.
 
Matchup History
The Lakers are 0-3 all-time against the Blue Devils. Their first matchup goes back to March 21, 2025, where the Lakers lost 14-3. In game two, the Lakers lost 12-2, but graduate student Jayden Walker went 1-for-3 and drove in one of two runs. Ventura went 0-for-2, but drew a walk and hit a sacrifice fly, scoring the other run for Mercyhurst.
 
Batting Leaders
Kourous leads all Laker hitters with a .371 batting average, which also ranks seventh in the NEC. He has obtained a hit in the past six games, increasing his OPS to 1.031, which is first on the Lakers, and 13^th in the NEC. Kourous needs four more RBIs to get to 100 in his collegiate career.
 
Junior Luke Babcock is third on the Lakers with a .279 batting average. Against the Sharks, he went 4-for-12, and posted a double and two RBIs. Reaching base safely in all three games, Babcock looks to keep up the plate discipline against the Blue Devils and turn it into a potential on-base streak.
 
Pitching Leaders
Junior Andrew Malec leads the Lakers with a 5.15 ERA, which is also ranked seventh in the NEC. In his recent outing against the Sharks, Malec pitched 6.2 innings, giving up three runs on six hits and striking out five. Opponents are hitting .240 against Malec, which ranks first in the NEC.
 
Sophomore Nate Vargo is second on the Lakers with a 5.24 ERA, which ranks ninth in the NEC. In his recent outing against the Sharks, Vargo pitched seven innings and gave up one run on three hits with four strikeouts. Opponents are hitting .277 against Vargo, which is 10^th in the NEC.
