SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Mercyhurst men and women's track & field team continued their outdoor season competing at the Dave Labor Invitational. The Lakers put the speed on display, highlighted by two top-10 finishes in distance events.
Freshman
Camden Pierce competed in the men's 3,000 meters steeplechase. He placed fifth overall with a time of 10:02.75.
Junior
Reagan Pettis and senior
Bella Homorody competed in the women's 3,000 meters steeplechase. Pettis placed ninth overall with a time of 12:44.92. Homorody placed 13
th overall with a time of 14:36.33.
In the men's pole vault, freshman Zachary Noble placed 12
th overall with a jump of 4.33 meters.
In the men's 1,500 meters, freshman
Thomas Gaydos placed 12
th overall with a time of 4:05.51.
Freshmen
Antonio Fleck and
Rowen Oakley, along with sophomore
Fabian Berrios competed in the men's triple jump. Fleck placed 18
th overall with a jump of 11.81 meters. Oakley placed 19
th overall with a jump of 11.43 meters. Berrios placed 20
th overall with a jump of 11.20 meters.
Freshmen
Rowan Milliron and
Caitlin Dugan competed in the women's 1,500 meters for the Lakers. Milliron placed 39
th overall with a time of 5:22.77. Dugan placed 45
th overall with a time of 5:32.71.
The Lakers return to the track tomorrow, April 4 for day two of the Dave Labor Invitational. The first event the Lakers will compete in is the women's 10,000 meters at 8:30 a.m.
