MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst men and women's track & field team continued their outdoor season with competition at the Marty Goldberg Gator Invite. With the NEC Outdoor Championships around the corner, the Lakers gear to put their best foot forward in preparation of it.
In the 400 meter dash, junior
Tyler Corbin placed 10
th overall with a time of 56.44.
Corbin, along with sophomore
Landon Marquez de la Plata and freshman
Daniel Turner competed in the 200 meter dash. Turner placed 12
th overall with a time of 23.27. de la Plata placed 17
th overall with a time of 23.67. Corbin placed 24
th overall with a time 24.63.
In the triple jump, sophomore
Fabian Berrios placed 12
th overall with a jump of 11.99 meters.
Freshman
Alexander Rowe competed in the men's javelin throw. He placed 17
th overall with a throw of 30.46 meters.
Freshman
Dominic Croce competed in the men's shot put. He placed 23
rd overall with a throw of 9.65 meters.
Freshman
Isabella Hagerman competed in the women's pole vault. She placed sixth overall with a throw of 3.25 meters.
In the women's 400 meter hurdles, freshman
Kennedy Butcher placed eighth overall with a time of 1:14.08.

Jordyn Barzano competed in the women's javelin throw. She placed 13
th overall with a throw of 25.22 meters.

Kennedy Butcher placed 18
th overall in the women's 100 meter hurdles. She timed at 18.20.
In the women's 800 meter,
Emma Valerio placed 20
th overall with a time of 2:42.01.
The Lakers return to the track when they compete at the NEC Outdoor Championship starting on May 2 in New Britain, Connecticut.
