ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst men's ACHA team hosted the Blue Streaks of John Carroll for a Tuesday night matchup at the Mercyhurst Ice Center. This game served as a makeup game for a game that was supposed to take place on January 25. This was also the final meeting between these teams in the regular season.

Ian Brown got the start for the Lakers, his 2
nd of the year.

In the 1
st period, JCU scored an early pair of goals at 1:47 and 5:38, placing the Lakers in an early deficit. Heading into the 2
nd, JCU was given a 10-minute misconduct, which gave the Lakers an early opportunity to answer with a goal of their own.

In the 2
nd period, the Streaks found the back of the net at 2:54, bringing the score to 3-0 in favor of JCU. The Lakers were unable to score while on special teams until
Nicholas Botzenhart scored his 3
rd goal of the season on the power play at 17:01. He was assisted by
Cameron Glance and
Conner McCusker.

rd period, JCU would manage to find the back of the net and answer with a pair of goals before the 12-minute mark. Ultimately, sealing the game at 5-1.

Brown stopped 29 of his 34 shots faced in his home debut while the Lakers outshot the Streaks 40-34.
