ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst baseball head coach
Jimmy Latona is thrilled to announce the 2026 season schedule. The Lakers are set to make their home debut Tuesday, March 10 as they host Central Michigan.

Mercyhurst begins the season with three consecutive road series. The Lakers kickoff the year on opening day at Wofford for a three-game series from Feb. 13-15. Staying in the south, the Lakers head to Murray State and then Coppin State for the first NEC series of the year.

The team will then host Delaware State for a weekend series starting March 13. The Lakers close out March with series at Stonehill and at home against Norfolk State. Between both series the Lakers head to Akron March 17 and host the Zips March 24 for midweek action.

Mercyhurst is set to travel down I-79 Tuesday, March 31 to clash with Pittsburgh. The Lakers head back into Panther territory May 5 to close out the season series.

April beings with a home series against the NEC's newest member New Haven April 2-4.

Midweek action in April includes home games against Niagara April 7 and Kent State April 14 before heading to Kent April 22.

The Lakers play road series against Le Moyne (April 10-12) and Maryland Eastern Shore (April 17-19) before returning home to host FDU (April 24-26).

Continuing the homestand, Mercyhurst welcomes LIU May 1-3 and Central Connecticut State May 8-10.

The Lakers close out the regular season away from home with a midweek game at Niagara May 12 and the final NEC series of the year at Wagner May 14-16.

Mercyhurst is eligible for the NEC Tournament this season with the top four teams in the regular season earning spots. The tournament will be held at Skyland Stadium in Augusta, New Jersey from May 21-24.
