YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The men's track and field continued their season Friday at day one of the YSU Mid Major Invitational with a top-five finish in the 1,000 meters, followed by action in the 60 meters.

In the men's distance, freshman Camden Pierce had a top-five finish in the 1,000 meters, placing fourth overall with a time of 2:33.46.
 
In the men's sprints, freshman Devin Easter had a time of 7.21 in the 60 meters, placing 14^th overall in the 60 meters qualifying round. Freshman Eric Grim placed 52^nd overall with a time of 7.43. In the preliminary round, freshman Connor Stokes had a time of 7.09, placing 15^th overall.
  
The Lakers look to continue their season tomorrow when day two of the YSU Mid Major Invitational resumes at 9:30 A.M.
