PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Mercyhurst Men's ACHA team traveled to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to take on the Dukes of Duquesne in their final meeting of the season. After splitting on the road to start 2026, the Lakers were looking to make a playoff push in their last stretch of CHMA games.

Ian Brown got the nod to make his ACHA debut versus the Dukes.

In the 1
st period,
Bowman Klippenstein found the back of the net for his 9
th goal of the season, with the assists coming from
John Hanlon and
Cameron Glance. Both teams were sent to the penalty box once, but neither was able to take advantage of the situation and score on the powerplay.

In the 2
nd period, Duquesne was able to score an early goal just 5 minutes into the frame. At 10:04,
William Neeld scored his 4
th goal of the year with an assist coming from
Hayden Cox. Duquesne was able to score on the powerplay at 19:24 after the Lakers were sent to the box for hooking.

In the 3
rd period, early penalties from both teams sent players to the penalty box, but no goals came as a result. The Dukes were able to score a pair of goals in the span of 5 minutes that sealed the game for Duquesne with a score of 4-2.

Brown stopped 40 of 44 shots faced in his debut.

The Lakers will next host the Robert Morris Colonials tomorrow night at the MIC for Senior Night. Puck drop set for 8:30 PM.
