This prestigious accolade recognizes his outstanding contributions to the conference and his remarkable achievements during his tenure at Mercyhurst.

Ian Wild's exceptional collegiate career spanned from 2008 to 2011, during which he excelled as a dual-sport athlete in football and men's lacrosse. In football, Wild's accolades are numerous. His individual performance earned him a spot on the All-PSAC West First Team and recognition as a First Team Academic All-American, among other honors. In 2011, despite an injury that limited him to just eight games, Wild's impact was undeniable. He led the team in tackles, sacks, and forced fumbles, and was awarded the Lakers' Defensive MVP.

Wild's triumphs in lacrosse were equally impressive. In the 2011 national championship game, he scored four goals, including the decisive game-winner, earning him the Most Outstanding Player Award. His contributions on the field were matched by his academic achievements, as he received the NCAA's Elite 88 Award for having the highest cumulative GPA among participants in the finals.

Ian Wild's legacy is not only defined by his on-field accomplishments but also by his academic excellence.
