ERIE, Pa. – Mercyhurst football head coach
Ryan Riemedio has announced three additions to the coaching staff.
Jared Lee,
Dominick Mazotti, and
Adam Scarpino all join the staff for the 2025 season.

Lee joins the Lakers as an offensive analyst and running backs coach. Lee spent last season at Samford where he was an offensive analyst with the Bulldogs. He instructed tight ends and the offensive line in his role.

Prior to his time at Samford, Lee coached at Bryant, starting as an offensive line and special teams quality control coach, before being promoted to JV offensive coordinator in his second season. Lee helped coached the Big South/OVC Offensive Player of the Year in Zevi Ekhaus during his time in Rhode Island.

Lee also spent time at Presbyterian and  at Attleboro High School in Massachusetts during his coaching career.

Mazotti comes to Erie for his first coaching position after a successful five year collegiate playing career at San Jose State and Massachusetts.
Â
Mazotti was an All-Mountain West tight end in his time at San Jose State, accumulating 322 receiving yards on 23 catches in his senior season. The Pleasanton, California native transferred to Massachusetts for a fifth year and made 10 starts for the Minutemen.

Following the 2024 collegiate season, Mazotti was invited to rookie minicamp with the Chicago Bears and had tryouts with four other NFL teams before making his way to Erie.

At UMass, he earned his master's degree in data analysis after receiving his bachelor's degree in management of information systems from SJSU.

Scarpino joins the Lakers as a graduate assistant, focusing on special teams. Scarpino spent the last three seasons as a student-athlete at Clarion as a kicker/punter. He joined the Golden Eagles after one season at Slippery Rock.

In 2021, Scarpino started all 13 games as a rookie kicker/punter for the Erie Express.

The Waterford, Pennsylvania earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Clarion and will pursue a master's in organizational leadership during his time at Mercyhurst.
