Erie, Pa.- Mercyhurst is set to get on the road for their first ever road game against a Power Four opponent. The Lakers will take on Pitt at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow and they'll be aiming to grab just their third nonconference win of the season. This time it's a game that could be a program builder.
Ready to Take on the Panthers:
The Lakers offense has continued to find their footing.
Jayden Walker has paced the team with nine home runs, including a grand slam last week. He now sits at 29 RBIs on the season.
Landon DiBeradin is second on the team with 23 RBIs. He also hit a grand slam and accounted for six RBIs in the Lakers win over FDU on Thursday.
Eric Chorba still has the best batting average with a .331. They all be looking to make a dent as the three Norwin kids will be playing close to home on Wednesday.
Scouting Pitt:
The Panthers have posted an 18-19 record so far this season. They'll be aiming to get back to a .500 record tomorrow against the Lakers. Ryan Zuckerman has been leading them to this point with 10 homers and 37 RBIs. But the Panthers have four players batting over .300. The Lakers will need to shut down the top of the lineup in order to pull off the upset win.
Next Game:
The Lakers will be back in action to take on their first Power Four team since Maryland and first ACC opponent. Mercyhurst will take on Pitt on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
