Williamsburg, Va. - The Mercyhurst Women's Golf team competed in their first Northeast Conference Championship this past weekend at Kingsmill Resort – Plantation Course in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Overview
After being rained out on Friday, the Lakers played 36 holes on Saturday. They then played the normal 18 holes on Sunday to round out the tournament. The course played at 6,083 yards for both rounds one and two but moved up to 5,888 yards for round three.
Team Highlights
As a team, the Lakers finished in 9th place with a team score of +159.
The Lakers were led by Olivia Seaman, who carded rounds of 83-83-79 to finish in a tie for 20th place with a total score of 245. She carded 12 pars on her way to a third-round score of 79.
Emily Ferguson posted scores of 89-82-87 to finish in a tie for 36th. Alyssa Ballaro rounded out the top three scorers for the Lakers, coming in 43rd after posting rounds of 92-85-85.
