Erie, Pa.- It's been over 200 days since the tennis programs at Mercyhurst kicked off their Division I era in the fall. Since then, they've both made some history. Seniors Kayla Dean and Roisin Murphy took home the doubles championship at the NEC tournament and Junior Danylo Rekun was named player of the week after helping led his team to their first ever NEC duals match win. Now both teams are set to close their season this weekend against Duquesne on Saturday and St. Francis on Sunday.

On the Court:
Both teams will travel to Pittsburgh to take on Duquesne, the place where Mercyhurst's Division I era begin when the women's soccer team opened their season there. The men's team has posted a 4-9 record this season. They've won their last two matchups against St. Bonaventure and St. Francis. Now they'll be aiming to close their season on a three-match winning streak. On the women's side, they've won three straight and sit at 8-7 on the season. They've lost just two matches at home all season. On Sunday, both teams will take on St. Francis. The men have a 6-10 record and are 2-3 in conference play. The Lakers will be looking to end their season on a high note with their second conference win. The women have a tough task ahead of them as they'll take on a 13-6 team. To this point they still have yet to lose in conference play.

Next Match:
The Lakers will kick off the weekend tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. against Duquesne.
