Erie, Pa.- After grabbing their first ever NEC series win a week ago, the Lakers are getting ready to go right back on the road. This time they'll be taking on Central Connecticut State in a three-game series before they take on Niagara next Tuesday.

Rounding the Bases:
The Lakers are looking to get above .500 in conference play after their series this weekend. In order to do that, they'll need to rely on their bats to get things going.
Eric Chorba still paces Mercyhurst as the best hitter on the team. His batting average sits at .279 and he's tallied 19 total hits, with five of those being extra base hits. The Lakers have four players with two home runs. Chorba,
Jayden Walker,
Chris Juchno and
Ethan Adams have all driven two deep. Walker hit both of his last weekend on the way to being named an NEC Prime Performer. Juchno leads the team with six extra base hits. Chorba, Walker and
Chandler Powell are tied for first with eight RBIs each. On the mound,
Daniel Thomas holds a 2-3 record and was named the NEC Pitcher of the Week after he completed eight innings without allowing a run and punched out four.

Scouting Central Connecticut:
The Blue Devils have had a dominant start to the season. They sit at 8-3 and have a 5-1 record in conference play. Last weekend they swept FDU and their lone conference loss was a 9-8 loss to LIU. Aidan Redahan has been their best hitter as he's tallied 18 hits and 15 RBIs in just 47 plate appearances. Vincent Borghese has been dominant on the mound as he's 3-0 to begin the season. He has 1.42 ERA and has pitched 19.0 innings in the young season.

Scouting Niagara:
Niagara has had a tough go to begin the year. They sit at just 3-13 through their first 16 games. Before they face off with Mercyhurst, they'll be on the road to take on Mount St. Mary's. Nate Milk has paced them to this point with 20 total hits. But Curtis McKay has driven in a team-high 14 runs. They'll be looking to turn things around before they take on the Lakers.

Next Game:
The Lakers will play Central Connecticut in a three-game series starting tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. The action can be caught on the NEC Front Row.
