Box Score

Radford, Va.- Mercyhurst was officially swept in their three-game series against Radford in a 14-12 loss Sunday afternoon. The Lakers now sit at 1-9 through 10 games in the season. They've officially closed their time up in the south and will play their last road game of their 11-game road trip Tuesday at Kent State.

How it Happened:
Radford's bats remained hot as they were all weekend. The Highlanders opened the scoring in the second inning when they scored nine runs in the frame. They batted around in the inning and had six hits before Andrew Malec stopped the damage. The Lakers were able to get one back in the top of the third as Joey Trivisonno drove in Eric Chorba. Neither side was able to get a run over the next inning and half. But Ethan Adams took his second deep of the series to open up the fifth. That was the last run the Lakers scored in the ball game.

In the bottom half of the fifth, the Tyler Kehoe kicked off another scoring run for the Highlanders as they got four runs off of Jacob Bazala. The Lakers were only able to get one more hit in the game, as Zach Black singled in the sixth, before Radford sat their last nine down. Mason Self added another insurance run in the eighth with a double.

Next Game:
The Lakers wrap up their road trip on Tuesday as they'll make their way to Kent State. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m.
