The Mercyhurst volleyball team enters the sixth week of NEC action, set to play at home against Saint Francis Wednesday, and a doubleheader weekend against Central Connecticut State. The Lakers look to continue to their active four-game winning streak, after sweeping Stonehill and New Haven the last two weekends.Â

Julia Shepherd leads all Lakers with 213 kills this season. She took home NEC prime performer honors last week after her remarkable performance against New Haven. Shepherd tallied her 200
th kill this season this past weekend against Stonehill. She is also top five in the NEC with a .288 hitting percentage.

Alia Mastromatteo continues to be a reliable playmaker for the Lakers. She leads all Lakers with 381 assists, and is looking to increase that total.

Mia Mattingly was very dominant offensively and defensively for the Lakers against Stonehill. She tallied 13 blocks and 13 kills, Â which led her to take home this week's NEC prime performer honors. Her defense was a key reason why the Lakers were able to complete the sweep.

- Outside Hitter Weronika Poczynek and Opposite Olivia Keckler are top five in kills per set in the NEC. Keckler averages 3.23 kills per set, while Poczynek avergages 3.12 kills per set.
