Loretto, PA- Mercyhurst Field Hockey fell to NEC opponent Saint Francis University today by a score of 0-4. 

How it Happened 

The Lakers had a strong first quarter as they held Saint Francis scoreless and had three saves. They went into the second quarter with an even score of 0-0. Despite having five saves in the second quarter, Saint Francis scored early in the quarter and then again a few minutes later, which had the Lakers down 0-2 going into the half. Saint Francis scored late in the third quarter and then again with 4 seconds left in the quarter, making the score 0-4 going into the fourth. The Lakers held Saint Francis scoreless in the fourth quarter and had one save in both the third and fourth quarters. Mercyhurst totaled 10 saves with a final score of 0-4.
