Edinboro, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Women's Lacrosse team hit the road for a matchup with Edinboro. The Lakers led from start to finish and scored their most goals in a game this season in a 19-6 win over the Fighting Scots.
How it Happened
The Lakers scored five times in the first quarter and held Edinboro to just one goal. Ellie Schau and Marlee Antinora scored a pair of goals, and Whitley Easton added one as well.
Marlee Antinora notched her third goal of the game early in the second quarter. The Lakers were able to rattle off four more goals in the quarter, while Edinboro scored just two. The Lakers held a 10-4 lead at the half.
Gabby McGinn opened the third quarter scoring with a goal, but Edinboro matched the goal with one of their own. The Lakers went on a 5-0 run that included four goals from Hannah Young.
Amanda Bailey, Hadley Warren, and Whitley Easton all scored in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.
