Kansas City, MO- United Soccer Coaches have announced their All-Region Selections following the conclusion of the 2024 season. The Mercyhurst Men's Soccer team had a couple players named to the NCAA Division I Men's All Northeast Region first and second Team.

Dylan Sumner was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-Northeast Region first team. Sumner had a spectacular season. He scored eight goals, tallied six assists, and lead the team to several crucial victories. He was named the NEC Men's Player of the Year after securing the regular season title in Mercyhurst's first season as a Division I institution. The native of Manchester, England accumulated several United Soccer Coaches selections in his career. In 2023, he was named to the DII Men's All-Atlantic Region First Team. In 2022, he was named to the DII Men's All-America First Team and again the All-Atlantic Region First Team.
Kyle Halehale was another Laker who received a selection. The native of Sinajana, Guam was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-Northeast Region second team. Halehale played a pivotal role in the Lakers' success on defense as he and the team recorded seven shutouts. He also scored a headed goal in a shutout conference victory against Chicago State University.
Of the twenty-three players named to the All-Northeast Region first and second team, sixteen were from Ivy League schools. Halehale and Sumner were two of four players to make the list playing for a Northeast Conference school. The other two came from Le Moyne College, who just became a Division I institution starting in Fall of 2023.
Austin Solomon and his coaching staff led these two Lakers and the team to a successful inaugural season in the Northeast Conference.
