Philadelphia, Pa.- The Mercyhurst Women's Tennis team made the journey across the state to finish out their fall schedule as they competed in Philadelphia for the ITA Northeast Tournament. The Lakers had a good showing as they wrapped up their first fall as a Division I squad.
 
How it Happened
The Lakers had two players record singles wins as Sophomore Daria Rogova recorded 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 against Farleigh Dickinson. Senior Kayla Dean won 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-3 against Ivy League Columbia University. However, both fell in the second round of action. The Lakers also had Senior Roisin Murphy and Senior Sara Bertolez Puente compete in singles action, but both lost in the first round of action. Reigning NEC champions, Dean and Murphy, competed in doubles action but lost 8-6. Bertolez Puente and Rogova also competed in doubles, but had a first round exit as well.
