Atlanta, Ga. - Mercyhurst Women's Basketball makes headlines in the summer as they found themselves named by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association in their Division II Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll, checking in at nine. 

The Lakers finished with a 3.753 GPA for the 2022-23 season, helping them find themselves inside the top 10 in DII coming in just .139 points behind the leader, Upper Iowa. Mercyhurst is the only PSAC school to be named in the top 25. East Stroudsburg, Seton Hill, Gannon, and West Chester were all named as Honorable Mentions with the Warrior's mark of 3.590 being the closest to that of Mercyhurst's 

Mercyhurst is only one of seven teams listed in the top 10 to have a record of .500 or better during the season, showing their prowess not only on the court but in the classroom as well.
