West End, N.C.—The Mercyhurst Women's Golf team took home a fifth-place finish at the Golden Knight Carolina Classic. The spring opener saw the team shoot a 36-hole total of 695 (346/349). 
 
Isabella Walter led the way for the Lakers as she posted scores of 81 and 82. Her 163 total was good for a T-8 finish. She carded four birdies on the weekend. 
 
Senior Kymberly Henry finished T-28 with a total of 174 (85/89). 
 
Lauren Dearment and Alyssa Ballaro followed with scores of 178 and 180 respectively. 
 
Hannah Mensch rounded out the lineup for the Lakers (101/99/200).
 
The Lakers head south again on March 25 for the Klash in Kentucky.
