For the women, Roisin Murphy and Kayla Dean were very strong as the tandem played their way to the finale in doubles play, defeating Gabriela Del Val Del Toro and Nuria Martin Lopez of Slippery Rock by a score of 8-4.
IUP Invitational
Mercyhurst competed in the IUP Invitational this past weekend with the team doing well for themselves in the event. The women claimed a trio of wins in singles play with Kayla Dean, Valentine Budin, and Kiersten Brown each getting wins after hard-fought matches. The men managed to grab four wins in singles play while nearly doubling that total in two rounds of doubles play, helping give the team some energy heading into the new weekend.
