Meadville, Pa.—The Mercyhurst Women's Golf team finished out the Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational in third place. The Lakers finished day two with a team score of 327 bringing their tournament total to 639.
The Lakers were led by
Sofia Carrizosa who finished the tournament T-3 with a total of 155 (76-79). The junior from Bogota, Columbia finished with ten pars during her second round of play at the Country Club of Meadville.
Behind Carrizosa was
Kymberly Henry who finished T-11. Her second round 85 put her at a 36-hole total of 162.
Isabella Walter finished two strokes behind Henry with a two-day total of 164 (82-82). Her score was good for a T-16 finish.
Sophomore
Alyssa Ballaro and junior
Lauren Dearment rounded out the Lakers lineup with finishes of 20 and 23 respectively. Ballaro finished with an 86 for round two and Dearment improved on her first-round score by seven strokes to finish with an 81 on day two.
Lena Jones shot 86 to finish the tournament at 174.
Hannah Mensch carded a score of 90 today putting her 36-hole total at 183. Both Jones and Mensch played as individuals.
The Lakers are scheduled to tee off again in two weeks at Bloomsburg for the Husky Invitational on Oct. 10.
