Charleston, W. Va.—The Mercyhurst Women's Golf team finished out the Charleston Invitational in third place with a team 36-hole total of 628. The Lakers shot 315 on Monday and 313 on Tuesday.
The low round for the Lakers belonged to
Kymberly Henry who shot 75 on day two of the event. Her 36-hole total of 151 (76-75) earned her a fourth-place finish. She carded four birdies on day two to bring her tournament total to seven.
Sophomore
Alyssa Ballaro finished in eleventh place after posting a 36-hole total of 158 (81-77). During her second round, she played the front nine at even par with two birdies. She sunk one more on the back to make her split for the day 35-42.
Isabella Walter found herself T-12 with a two-day total of 159 (79-80). Fellow junior
Lauren Dearment wrapped up the tournament T-22 with a second-round score of 81.
Sofia Carrizosa drained two birdies on the back today to finish round two with an 81. She finished T-17 with a total score of 160.
Playing as individuals,
Lena Jones (86-91/177) and
Hannah Mensch each posted one birdie a piece on day two. Mensch's 36-hole total of 170 (83-87) beats her previous best score by seven strokes.
The Lakers tee off next at their home Lake View Country Club on Friday for the Evan Parker Memorial and stay in Erie for the Michael Corbett Fall Classic on Sunday and Monday hosted by Gannon.
