They finished the regular season second in the GMAC standings with a 5-1 mark in conference play. They are currently ranked the 18th best team in the nation according to the most recent USILA National Poll.

They have been paced on offense this season by McGarity Harper who leads the team with 67 points on 37 goals and 30 assists. Thomas Hanulak is the team's leading goal scorer. He has registered 41 tallies for the Griffins this season.

Earlier this season when the two teams matched up, the Lakers came away with an 18-16 victory after a fourth quarter goal by Myles Hamm proved to be the difference. Both teams held multi goal leads in the contest with the Griffins largest lead being four and the Lakers being four.

NCAA Atlantic Regional Rankings

The Lakers were tabbed fourth in the latest NCAA Atlantic Region Rankings released earlier this week. The Lakers are currently holding on to the last seed that will earn home field advantage in the tournament's opening round. If the season ended today the Lakers would host Saint Anselm in the Opening round of the tournament on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Seton Hill is sitting on the outside looking in as they were ranked 8th in this week's rankings. A loss tomorrow will most likely guarantee the end of their season.
