ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's lacrosse head coach Trey Keeley is excited to announce the team's 2026 schedule. The Lakers are set to face a challenging lineup of opponents and will host eight home games at Saxon Stadium.

 

The season kicks off on Jan. 31 with an away game at Michigan. The Wolverines will be the Lakers first ever Big Ten opponent. The Lakers will then host Bellarmine on Feb.7, marking their first home game of the season at 12:00 p.m. This is followed by another pair of home games against UMass Lowell on Feb. 14 and Canisius on Feb. 17. The Lakers played Canisius in a scrimmage last season and opened the regular season at Bellarmine.

 

Mercyhurst will venture on the road to face Queens on Feb. 22 and Binghamton Feb. 27 before returning home to take on St. Bonaventure on March 3. The Lakers will also welcome Hampton on March 7 and VMI on March 21.

 

The schedule continues with an away game against Cleveland State March 14, followed by another road matchup with Wagner March 28. The Lakers scored a thrilling 12-11 win over the Seahawks in double overtime last year to earn their first NEC win in program history.

 

The team will then travel to LIU April 4 before hosting RMU April 11 and Detroit Mercy April 18, closing out their home slate.

 

The regular season concludes with an away game against Le Moyne April 25, an old Division II rivalry that has been renewed as both schools made the jump to the NEC.
