KUTZTOWN, Pa.— The Mercyhurst Women's Golf team improved for the second day in a row as they closed out their season at the PSAC Championships on Sunday with a score of 324. The Lakers earned their third consecutive PSAC runner-up finish, coming in second to Gannon who will earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Kymberly Henry owned the Lakers low round of the day with a 78. The junior was even par through her first six holes and had two birdies on the day. Her 249 total earned her a share of 11
th place with teammate
Sofia Carrizosa.
Carrizosa was one shot behind Henry in the final round, posting a seven over 79. She kept a relatively clean card all day with no double bogeys and 11 pars.
Isabella Walter was Mercyhurst's top finisher for the tournament landing in a tie for sixth. The sophomore shot 83 on Sunday, finishing strong playing the last three holes at even par.
Lauren Dearment finished in 19
th individually as her 84 in the final round closed out the Lakers scoring. Dearment posted a 40 on the opening nine before shooting 44 on the back.
The fifth Laker in the lineup was
Alyssa Ballaro who shot 90 on Sunday. She finished the tournament with a 262 total and tied for 21
st.
