Women's Golf Places Third at Home Invitational

Erie, Pa.—The Mercyhurst Women's Golf team finished in third place out of an eight-team field with a score of 341 at their home event on Thursday. Cross-town rival Gannon won the event by 12 strokes with a total of 328.
 
The Lakers were led by Kymberly Henry who shot a nine-over 81 with 11 pars on the day to end T-3. 
 
Not far behind Henry were Isabella Walter and Alyssa Ballaro who ended T-8 with a score of 84. Walter's split was 43 and 41 with a birdie on the eighth. Ballaro did the opposite and shot 41 and 43 with a birdie on hole 2. 
 
Lauren Dearment posted a score of 92 good for a T-21 finish, while Sofia Carrizosa rounded out the Laker lineup tallying 93.
 
Lena Jones posted a T-10 finish with a score of 85 competing as an individual, while Hannah Mensch shot 102 as an individual.
 
The Lakers are back in action on Friday and Saturday for the Gannon Invitational at Whispering Woods.
