ERIE, Pa. - Thea Johansson of Mercyhurst Women's Hockey was named the CHA Rookie of the Week. This is her first CHA Award of her career.
Johansson had a dominant performance on the ice this past week. On Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, she posted a hat trick against St. Lawrence. This is the second hat trick of the season for her. Her first was in a game against St. Anslem.
Not only did she claim three goals in one night, but she also assisted with one. Johansson earned four points in game one of the matchup.
To make the game even more monumental, her entire family was there to watch her skate on her 20th birthday.
