Erie, Pa. – Mercyhurst Women's Cross Country finishes a hard-fought race today at their home race at Pleasant Ridge Park. Unfortunately, the pack running was not enough to take down the cross-town rivals Gannon University.
How it happened
Maria Marullo was the first of the Lakers across the line coming in 5th with a time of 21:21.
Bella Homorody was the next Laker across the line with a time of 21:28 for 6
th place. Trailing close behind Homorody was
Mikaela LeBaron with a time of 21:38 earning herself 7
th place.
Maddy Mariani followed right behind in 8
th place with a time of 21:53.
Rachel Bauer rounded out the top 15 with a 14
th place finish in a time of 22:94.
Today was also the last home race for some of the Lakers. The women had one lone senior this year,
Maria Marullo. We wish her luck in the rest of the season and in the future!

The Lakers are set to race again on Saturday, November 5
th, in the PSAC Championships in Mansfield, Pa.
