ERIE, Pa – The Mercyhurst wrestling team defeated PSAC opponent Seton Hill, 26-21, on Saturday afternoon at The Katherine Mabis McKenna Center. The Lakers won five-of-ten matches including four bouts that produced bonus points for the Laker matmen.

Eric Bartos earned a fall at 133 to get Mercyhurst on the board, the redshirt junior pinned Seton Hill's William Burgess with less than a minute remaining in their bout. 

After a forfeit win for Mike Clark at 165, Dillon Walker picked up the 18th win of his freshman campaign when he tech falled Luke Ewing by a 19-2 margin. The Griffins claimed the 184 bout, earning six points to go up 21-17 in the dual, however the Lakers Hunter Harnish won via decision at 197 and then, the No. 4 heavyweight in the nation Jacob Robb closed out the contest by pinning his opponent in the first period to give the Lakers their fifth dual meet victory of the season.

Seton Hill had decision wins at 141, 149, and 157 pounds as well as falls at 125 and 184.

Up next, the Lakers will return home to the Mercyhurst Athletic Center tomorrow at 2:00 p.m for a dual that was originally scheduled for last Friday against East Stroudsburg.
