Box Score GREENSBERG, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's tennis team picked up a 5-2 win over host Seton Hill Saturday afternoon at the Greensburg Racquet Club.

The Lakers opened strong with a 6-2 victory from Emily Gordon and Naomi Jahr at number two doubles. Janice Theodora and Valentine Budin cliched the doubles point for Mercyhurst with a 6-3 win at number three doubles.

Budin got the Lakers start at fifth singles claiming a 6-1, 6-1 win.  Athina Tsagkaraki made it 3-0 Lakers winning her third flight singles match 6-3, 6-2.

The Griffins closed the gap to 3-2 with wins at number one and number two singles, but Emily Gordon scored a 6-0, 6-2 victory at number four to clinch the match.

Alana Lewis tallied a 6-2, 6-0 win at number six to set the final. 

The Lakers are back in action on Friday when they travel to Millersville.
