Women’s Golf Back in Action Following Week Hiatus

ERIE, Pa.—The Mercyhurst Women's Golf team is back in action following their first off week since the season began. The Lakers travel to the William Beall Fall Classic hosted by University of Findlay for 54 holes on Monday and Tuesday.

Last Time Out

The Lakers week of rest was preceded by four straight days of competition, hosting the Evann Parker Memorial, followed directly by Gannon's Michael Corbett Fall Classic.

Head coach Ron Coleman's squad took fourth place at the home event, paced by junior Kymberly Henry's two day total of 155, culminating in team score of 667 over the 36 holes of play.

Mercyhurst bettered their finishing position by one spot two days later, taking third place at Gannon's event totaling a score of 663. Freshman Alyssa Ballaro placed second individually with a 158 two day total.

The Course and Field

Findlay Country Club serves as host to the William Beall Fall Classic, playing to a par of 72 at 6,036 yards. The field of teams is the strongest the Lakers will have seen this season with a five teams inside the top-20 of the national rankings (Division II WGCA Coaches Poll).
